Reynolds Funeral Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Mrs. Barbara A. Franklin, 69 of Athens, AL.  Mrs. Franklin passed away on April 8, 2017 at Huntsville Hospital.  Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday at Fletcher's Chapel P.B. Church in Madison with Elder Kenneth Lankford officiating.  The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral.

Barbara Ann Franklin was born April 10, 1947 to the late George Robinson Owens and Betty Sue Billops.  She departed this life on April 8, 2017.

She gave her life to Christ at an early age.  She was a faithful member of Fletcher’s Chapel P.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth Lankford.

Mrs. Franklin was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Montgomery, Alabama. She loved to cook and to sing. She was a devoted member of the Joan C. Bacon Concert Choir for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Frank Franklin; her grandparents, Parse Sr. and Bertha Billops; sister, Wylene Floyd, Shirley Elaine Tolliver; brother, John Kevin Tolliver; stepson, Frank Franklin, III.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, George W. Franklin, Athens, AL; step-son, The Rev. Patrick (Delorice) Franklin, Decatur, AL; step-daughter, Revelle (Marvin) Thatch; daughter-in-law, Diana Franklin Langford, Decatur, AL; brother, Arthur (Wanda) Tolliver, Cleveland, OH; sisters, Sondra (Keith) Williams, Cleveland, OH, Atlene Sims, Cleveland, OH, Ethel (Willie) Seymore, Elyria, OH; mother, Betty Sue Billops, Cleveland, OH; aunts, Mary Rogers, Cleveland, OH, Sarah (Rufus) Raybon, Athens, AL, Janie Billops, Montgomery, AL; uncle, Parse Billops, Jr. Montgomery, AL; two very special friends, Jannie Pennington, Cleveland, OH and Essie Love, Decatur, AL.  

Pallbearers will be Deacons of Fletcher's Chapel P.B. Church and Flower Bearers will be Granddaughters.
