Reynolds Funeral Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Mrs. Berea Baugh Campbell, 60 of Decatur, AL. Mrs. Campbell passed away January 27, 2018 at River City Center. Memorial Service will be 3:00 PM, Thursday at Macedonia C.P. Church in America with Dr. Samuel King officiating and Dr. G. Lynn Herring, host pastor.
Mrs. Berea B. Campbell was born April 7, 1957, to the late Warren T. Baugh and Eva Hart Baugh. Berea, affectionately known as “B” or “BB”, accepted Christ at an early age and joined 1st Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Chicago, IL. She grew in Christ and was active in the church choir.
As a teenager, she started to develop the strong work ethics that she was known for. Her most memorable employments include; Crosstown Security; store manager for Amoco; 1st female bodyguard for the last congressman of Illinois, Congressman Gus Savage; in Alabama she was employed at Advanced Auto Parts. Berea enjoyed cooking, entertaining, Nascar, football and dancing.
Berea was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Joseph M. Campbell III.
She leaves to mourn her passing: a daughter, Marquessa Baugh-Garth; a son, Joseph M Campbell IV; three grandchildren, Radijah (Jeremiah) Foley, Derrell Crawford Jr., DeAnthony Garth; one great-grandson, Josiah Foley; one brother, Jerome; four sisters, Rozelyn, Lynnette, Margo and Gwendolyn; niece, Evita; a special cousin, Dr. Trevia (Burt) Williams; other relatives and friends.
