Cora Odell (Robinson) Daily

A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Cora Odell Robinson Daily, 96 of Decatur will be 1:00 PM, Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Moulton Heights Church of Christ with Bro. Harold Gilmore officiating and inhumation to follow in Sterrs Cemetery.

Mrs. Daily was born in Lawrence County, Alabama on March 1, 1921 to the late James and Dora Gilchrist Robinson.  She entered into eternity on February 22, 2018 at her residence in Decatur, Alabama. 

Mrs. Cora was educated in the Decatur City Schools System and was a 1940 graduate of Decatur Negro High School.  She was employed for many years as a wool presser at Gordon Cleaners.  She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Newcomb Street Church of Christ.  She later became a founding member of Moulton Heights Church of Christ where she was the oldest member of the church.  She was a faithful and dedicated member that loved her church family.  She was the most loving person in the world and never had a negative word to say about anyone.  She was the epitome of a true Christian.

Mrs. Daily was preceded in death by: her parents, James and Dora Robinson; her husband, James Dailey; brother, Glenn Byers; sisters, Louise Yarbrough and Rosa Lee Hayes; grandson, Darryl Daily and great-grandson, Justin Daily.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, James J. (Mae Sue) Daily of Muscle Shoals, AL; daughters, Belinda D. (James “Sweettie”) Hill and Felicia (Dedrick) Bradford all of Decatur; two foster children, Anita Alexander and Willie Polk both of Atlanta, GA; brother, Richard (Louise) Jones of Decatur; sister-in-law, Loretta Byers of Columbus, OH; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
