A Celebration of Life for Mr. Danny O. Mitchell, 49 of Decatur, Alabama will be noon Monday, October 24, 2016 at Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church in Town Creek, Alabama with Pastor Lymos McDonald officiating.  Inhumation will follow in Red Bank Cemetery.  The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral.  The public may view Mr. Mitchell on Sunday afternoon from 1:00-7:00 at Reynolds Funeral Home. 

Danny O’neal Mitchell was born February 18, 1967 to the late Jake Mitchell Jr. and Betty Jean Garth in Lawrence County. He departed this life on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.

He attended school in the Decatur City School System.  He was a handyman and worked various jobs.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Authur Smith Jr., Josephine Smith, Jake Mitchell Sr. and Martha Mitchell.

He leaves behind a sister, Mary Louise Mitchell from Mississippi; two brothers, Willie B. Mitchell (Jasmine) of Florence, AL and Richard Jake Mitchell of Decatur; stepfather, Percell Garth of Decatur; a loving and devoted aunt, Gwenda Smith-Wiggins (Will) of Decatur; five uncles; 17 other aunts; a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers and Flower Bearers will be family and friends.
