A Celebration of Life for Mr. Don C. Hampton, 55 of Decatur, AL will be noon Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at First Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend Jeffrey Dancy officiating and inhumation to follow in Sterrs Cemetery.  The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral.   Public viewing will be Monday from 10:00 AM-6:30 PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:30-6:30 at the funeral home.

Don C. Hampton was born in Decatur, Alabama on April 11, 1961 to the late William Joseph Hampton and the late Annie Elizabeth Dancy.  He departed this life on February 15, 2017 at Decatur Morgan Hospital.

He was preceded in death by: three sisters; Elizabeth Ann Madden, Cynthia Kate Hampton, and Lucy Mae Hampton; two brothers, Alandress Hampton, and Lamont Watkins; grandparents, Astoria Parker, William Hampton, Frank Dancy, and Lucy Stover Dancy.

He was a dedicated entrepreneur that enjoyed remodeling homes throughout the community for family, friends, and local businesses.

He leaves to cherish his love and memory: three brothers Alton Orr (Jean Moore) of Huntsville, AL. William Charles Hampton, Memphis, TN. Derrick Hampton of Decatur, AL; eight sisters, Dorothy Ann Orr, Ada Biddings both of Decatur, AL, Joyce Jenkins (Emanuel) of Birmingham, AL Dezarine Petty (Leon) of Dallas, TX, Lucenior Cross (Wilson) of Decatur, AL, Cassandra Hicks, Felicia Falconer and Katrina Steger all of Huntsville, AL; two aunts, Doris Dancy and Nell Echols both of Decatur, AL; great aunt, Bretha Russell of Chattanooga, TN; special niece, Nicole Chatman (Greg) and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
