Reynolds Funeral Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Mr. Fernan "Kickaboo" Elliott, 52 of Decatur, Alabama.  Mr. Elliott passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 Erlanger-Baroness Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Garner Memorial CME Church with The Reverend Steven Little, Officiating and interment at Calvary Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to the funeral. Public viewing will be Thursday, 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Friday, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Fernan O’Keith Elliott, Sr. was born May 24, 1965, the youngest of four children to the late Ophelia Jewel Morrow, in Lawrence County, AL. He departed this life on December 28, 2017, at Erlanger Baroness Hospital, Chattanooga, TN. He joined Garner Memorial CME Church at an early age.

“Kickaboo”, as he was affectionately known, was reared in Decatur, AL. He was a 1983 graduate of Austin High School.  He joined the United Stated Marine Corps in 1984, and furthered his education in trade school while enlisted.  He was honorably discharged in 1987.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents; and a daughter, Sylvia Angel Elliott.

His loving memory will be cherished by a devoted wife, Mrs. Samantha Elliott; three sons, Fernan Elliott, Jr., Lorenza Elliott and Cortez (Alexis) Elliott; two grandchildren, XaVier Elliott, Evelyn Elliott; one brother, Roderick (Connie) Garth; two sisters, Jewel (Rev. Rex) Jarman, Chandra Garth; three nieces, LaKenya Owens, Chantina Garth, Rexchelle Jarman; four nephews, Quinton Owens, Tronorris Owens, Tyron Garth, Rex Jarman, Jr.; cousins, Judith Mills, Jacqueline Sanford, Jeffery Sanford, Lula (Pertis) Ayers and James “Sonny” Elliott, Jr; a loving in-law family in California; other relatives and many friends young and old.

Pallbearers will be Nephews, Tyron Garth, Tronorris Owens, Quinton Owens, Rex Jarman, Jr., Johntez Chairs,and Damon Miller. Honorary Pallbearers will be classmates. Flower Bearers will be LeKenya Owens, Chantina Garth, Rexchelle Jarman and Alantah Jarman. Honorary Flower Bearers will be classmates.
