A Celebration of Life for Mr. Jacquez Ferel Love, 17 of Decatur, AL will be 11;00 AM, Saturday May 20, 2017 at Central Park Baptist Church in Decatur with interment to  follow in Sterrs Cemetery. The body of Mr. Love will be be in the church one hour prior to the service with Reynolds Funeral Home directing.  Public viewing will be Thursday from 3-6 and Friday from 10-7 at the funeral home.

Jacquez Ferel Love was born February 17, 2000 in Decatur, Alabama to Ferel Love and Yolanda Smith. He departed this life on May 14, 2017 at Huntsville Hospital.

Today, we have stopped our regular routines to pay tribute to Jacquez “Jac” Love. Jac loved baseball. All he dreamed about as a little boy was becoming a professional baseball player so that he could buy his mom a mansion. He was full of life and had a heart of gold, with a bright smile.

He accepted Christ at an early age.

Jacquez attended Decatur High School and was set to graduate May 2018. He also aspired to be a mechanical engineer.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, the Rev. James D. Smith and his aunt, LaShonda Smith.

Jac leaves behind: a father, Ferel Love; mother, Yolanda Smith (Bryan); sister, Jada Love; brother, Jadius Love; nephew, Zyon Love; grandmothers, Mimie Love and Ada Smith; aunts, Aldeone (Robert) Whitelaw, Christine (JB) Kinney, Evelyn Robinson, Vernice (Marcus) Jones, Deborah Nelson, Angela Nelson, Veronica (Marcus) Wilson, Zalaya Cook; uncles, John Nelson, George Smith, Terrence (Terri) Smith, Anthony Smith, Detrick Clemons, Darren Yarbrough; special cousin, John “Binky” Walker; a special brother, Taron Williams; a host of relatives and friends.
