A Celebration of Life for Master Kai Deshaun Patterson, one year old of Decatur will be noon Friday, March 17, 2017 at King's Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Rod Stallworth officiating and inhumation to follow in Bell/Nebo Cemetery on Finley Island Road in Decatur.  Kai’s body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral.  Public viewing will be Thursday from 11-7 at Reynolds Funeral Home.

    Kai Deshaun Patterson was born January 18, 2016 in Decatur, Alabama to Akayshia Barbee and Randy Patterson.  He received his angel wings on March 9, 2017 in Decatur, Alabama. Although his time here was short, the impact he had on everyone was immeasurable.

    He is survived by his parents, Akayshia Barbee and Randy Patterson; a brother, Kaden; grandparents, Eric and Bree Stovall, Decatur, Alabama; Marius and Keleshia Jones, Millbrook, Alabama; Floyd and Barbara Patterson, Decatur, Alabama and Monley Adams, Brooklyn, New York;

    Great grandparents, Anderson and Thelma Potts, Harvest, Alabama; Clarence and Donnie Jones, Trinity, Alabama Daris and Linda Long of Decatur, Alabama; great-great grandparent, Hattie Allen, Decatur, Alabama and Floyd Sr. and Franzetta Jones of Decatur, Alabama; god-parents, Cortez and Brittney Shackelford; aunts, uncles and numerous other relatives and a god-brother Davon Shackelford, preceded him in death.
