Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Lawrence "Big Wayne" Jones, of Decatur, Alabama who died December 1, 2016 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-DG Campus will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, 12:00 Noon, at St. James C. P. Church in America, with Pastor Michael Jones, officiating. Public viewing will be Tuesday, December 6, 2016, 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Lawrence Wayne Jones was born March 11, 1973 to Mary Ann Jones and the late Jim Mack Jones, Jr. He departed this life on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Decatur Morgan Hospital- Decatur General Campus.

He attended Austin High School.  He was once employed at Kentucky Fried Chicken on 6th Ave. in Decatur.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Deborah Denise Jones; grandparents:  James Shaw, Jr., Alma Louise and Woodsie Scott; Jim Mack Sr. and Patty Perneal Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted mother, Mary Ann Jones; stepfather Herschell Johnson of Decatur;  one sister, Angela Douglas, Decatur;  two brothers, Jim Mack Jones III (Lasaodia Hubbard) and Michael Jones, both of Decatur; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Henry Pickett, Norris Jones, Terrance Jones, Jamison Jones, Travis Mosley, Clifton Jones, Marquess Cooper and Lawrence W. Jones, Jr.  Flower Bearers will be: Bessie Brown, Quacenta Johnson, Geraldine Mose, Linda Sears, Donna Reynolds, Antonioua Reynolds, Latonia Jones and Kaziah Reynolds.
