A Celebration of Life for Ms. Linda Shena “Na-Na” Dancy, 44 of Decatur will be noon, Saturday at Reynolds Funeral Home with Bishop R.M Johnson officiating and inhumation to follow in Sterrs Cemetery.  The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral.  Public viewing will be Thursday from 2-7 and Friday from 10-7 at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Linda was born April 25, 1973 in Decatur, Alabama to Doris Dancy Smoke and the late Melvin Keith.  She departed this life on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Decatur General Campus.

She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined First Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur. “Na-Na” as she was affectionately known by her family and friends was a well-known person in the community.  She loved and adored her children and grandchildren.  She loved her mother and was a faithful caregiver to her mother, Mrs. Emma Smoke.

She was preceded in death by: three brothers, Donnell Dancy, Hosey Dancy  and Michael Dancy; two sisters, Jeanette and Tawanda Keith; one nephew, Darrius McCoy; grandparents, Frank and Lucy Stover Dancy, George and Betsy Keith; three uncles, Harley Lee Keith, Oliver Keith and George Keith Jr.; five aunts, Annie Watkins, Pearl Alexander, Ella Mae Robinson, Casey Mae Holden and Bertha Robinson.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Mrs. Doris Emma Dancy Smoke; a loving and devoted companion, Patrick McDaniel of Decatur; three sons, Terrence Dancy, Deondre Dancy and Hosey Dancy all of Decatur; three brothers, Melvin (Tonya) Dancy, William (Michelle) Dancy, Bradley (Tequisha) Dancy; one sister, Linda Dancy (Keith) Matthews; one grandson, Deshawn Dancy all of Decatur; two aunts, Carlean Robinson and Lena Mae Fuller both of Huntsville; four nephews, Andy Fennell, Quintarius Dancy, Marquez Dancy and Perez Taylor; nine nieces, Myesha Kingston, Melanie Dancy, Myisha, Mallory, Brittany, Cortney and Tiffany Sykes, Keyshonda Ivey and Trisca Taylor; three devoted friends, Yolanda Rogers, Shonta Lampkin, Rhonda Acosta and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Flower bearers will be Zandra Fennell, Monica Evans, Myisha Sykes, Courtney Sykes, Myesha Kingston, Ella Sheppard and Lisa Hullett.

Pallbearers will be Lorenzo Mitchell, Derrick Orr, Andy Fennell, Quintarius Dancy, Andy Fennell, Todd Johnson, Derrick Hampton and Fernando Shoulders.
