Funeral Service for Mr. Nathan Hines, 64, of Decatur, Alabama will 11:00 AM, Saturday at Reynolds Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Clifford "Nick" Orr officiating and inhumation to follow in Decatur City Cemetery.

Nathan Lovell Hines (Boonie) was born April 2, 1951 in Decatur, Alabama to the late Bessie Mae and Richard Hines Sr. He departed this life on Monday, February 1, 2016 at the V.A. Nursing Home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Nathan accepted Christ at an early age and united with Newcomb Street Church of Christ. He attended Lakeside High School. Nathan was a veteran that served two terms in the Marines. He loved to travel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Nathan Taylor; one sister, Lela Kelley; three brothers, Richard Hines, Jr., Bob Hines and Dave Hines.

Nathan leaves to cherish his memory: two loving children, Torome (Keisha) Taylor and Sayeann (Marcus) Taylor, both of Decatur; two brothers, Billy (Cynthia) Hines of Decatur and Tommy Lee Hines of Tuscaloosa, AL; two sisters, Anna Woods and Sharlotte Hines of Decatur; 11 grandchildren, Caroline Taylor, Tamirra King, Tanaisha King, Tyes Alexander, Brandon Carr, Torome Morris Taylor, Jr., Shankerria Taylor, Ty’kesha Taylor, Romeouine Taylor and Destiney Taylor; five great grandchildren, Quaymond Carr, Lamar Scott, Tyquan Alexander, TyShawn McCloud and Andre Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
