Reynolds Funeral Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Mr. Percy Lee Phillips Sr., 73 of Decatur, AL.  Mr. Phillips passed away on June 2, 2017 at his residence.  Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at St. James C.P. Church in America, with Pastor Michael Jones. Burial will be in the Decatur City Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to the service.

Percy Lee Phillips Sr. was born in Hillsboro, Alabama on December 27, 1943. He was born to the late Whitt Phillips Sr. and the late Cornelia Brown Phillips. He departed this life on June 3, 2017.

 He attended Tennessee Valley Training School in Hillsboro, AL. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age. Percy was employed by Fruehauf plant retiring after 45yrs of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Whitt Jr. and Larry Phillips.

Percy is survived by: his loving wife, of 46yrs, Mary Sales Phillips; two sons, Percy (Brandy) Jr. and Steve (Lawanna) Phillips all of Decatur; three sisters, Maggie Cooper of Detroit, MI, Jean (Sylvester) Love Hillsboro, AL, and Ella Hill, Hillsboro, AL; two brothers, James Watt Detroit, MI and Ray Phillips, Hillsboro, AL; two brothers–in-law, Charles Sales, Decatur, and Marvin Sales, Shreveport, LA; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Melvin, Chattanooga, TN, Clara Smith, Hillsboro, AL and Linda Ellison, Houston, TX; eight grandchildren, Desmond Phillips, Austin Watkins, Samantha (Shane) Boutte, Jasmine Phillips, Tamia Phillips, Tyus Phillips, Ziriah Phillips,  Kenslie Phillips; two step grandchildren, Julie and Britley Taylor, two great grandchildren, Paxton Boutte and Tristian Watkins; a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. A long-time friend, James Robert (Sonny) Elliott Jr.

Pallbearers will be nephews. Flower Bearers will be nieces.
