A Celebration of Life for Mr. Robert Clifford Scruggs, 66 of Decatur, AL. will be 1:30 PM. Sunday at Kings Memorial United Methodist Church with the Reverend Roderick Stallworth officiating.  Inhumation will follow in Sterrs Cemetery.  The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral. Public viewing will be Friday from 3-7 and Saturday from 10-7 at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Robert accepted Christ on March 21, 1976 and joined the former Jones Chapel U .M. Church (currently King’s Memorial U.M. Church) under the leadership of the late Pastor Watt Washington.Mr. Scruggs was baptized November 29, 2000, at the Pentecostal House of Prayer by Bishop A.C. Strong. He was a dedicated and faithful member of King’s Memorial where he served on the Usher Board.

Robert was born April 4, 1951, in Morgan County, Alabama, to the late Cleveland and Willie Lee Fields Scruggs. The Lord called him home on November 28, 2017.

Clifford graduated from Lakeside High School Class of 1969. Clifford retired from 3-M. He was a loving husband, father and friend. He was an avid Alabama fan. He owned and operated Hands-On Detail Shop which he loved sitting and talking when his health started failing.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother Clinton George Scruggs.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Wanda J. Scruggs; his sister, Sarah Lee Cordle (Alfred);  children, Elonda M. Scruggs Blackburn (Cedric), Felicia D. Scruggs, Robert C. Scruggs Jr., Jaquez U. Scruggs (Miklia) all of Decatur, Al. seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, seven sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Special friends- Donnie Cowley, Andrew and Linda Bell, B. Scott, and Jackie Watkins.

He has two special great-grandchildren that he would do absolutely anything for. All they would have to say is “Ganddaddy I want” and they had it.

Clifford was a loving, friendly, kind hearted and generous person. He truly loved his family and they loved him.
