Memorial Service for Miss. Tokia Bronte’ Yatamia Brashers, 21 of Decatur will be 11:00 AM, Monday at Moulton Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Tracy Seltzer officiating.   Reynolds Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Tokia was born July 3, 1995 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Miranda Tucker Blackwood and Orlando Brashers Sr.  She departed this life on September 12, 2016 in Decatur, Alabama.

Tokia was a member of Moulton Heights M.B. Church.  She was a 2013 graduate of Decatur High School.  She was employed by Bo Jangles Restaurant and Life Way Systems.

Tokia was a sweet, quiet person that would help anyone and loved to be around her relatives and friends.  She adored her siblings, Kashius and Zyah.   She will forever be missed by all of her friends and loved ones.

Ms. Brasahers was preceded in death by her grandfather, Victor Byrd and stepfather, Houston Glen Blackwood.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her parents, Miranda Tucker Blackwood of Decatur and Orlando Brashers Sr. (Kimyatta Brashers) of Kalamazoo, MI; her siblings, Kashus Blackwood and Zyah Blackwood of Decatur, Orlando Brashers Jr, Darquise Brashers, Dreshawn Brashers, Rierra Brashers, Shawnvia Brashers, Tishana Brown, Tiaree Johson and Destany Stacy all of Michigan; grandparents, Felica Tucker (Ronnie) and Varian Byrd of Decatur, James and Janie Brashers of Michigan; aunt, Tonya Brashers-Pitchford (Andrew); uncles,  Ansiceo Brashers and Tony Brashers of MI; great-aunts, Jean Tucker, Pasty Thorne, of Decatur; great-uncles, Alfred Tucker (Reshonda) of KY, Jerry (Bessie) Tucker, Thomas James Tucker Jr., Forest Tucker, Henry Tucker (Queen) all of Decatur; great-great aunts: Doris (George) Jones, Dora Tucker, Carrie Tucker all of Decatur and Elizabeth (Al) Scott of Hempstead, NY and Freda Tucker of Memphis, TN; special aunt, Ruth Scruggs (Billy) of Decatur; and a plethora of cousins, other relatives and friends.
