A Celebration of Life for Mr. William Harold Sharpley, 70 of Hartselle will be 1:00 PM, Sunday at Ebenezer Christian Church in Danville with The Reverend Brett Wherry officiating and inhumation to follow in Campground Cemetery.  The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral.  Public viewing will be Friday from 1-6 and Saturday from 10-6 at the funeral home.  Professional services entrusted to Reynolds Funeral Home.

Mr. William “Mote” Harold Sharpley was born February 1, 1946 in Morgan County, Alabama to the late Thurman and Sam Ellen Sharpley.  He departed this life on Wednesday, May 18, 2016.

He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Ebenezer Church, where he served faithfully.  He served dutifully as Deacon Chairman since 1999.

William was joined in Holy Matrimony to Brenda Elaine Carroll in December 1980.  He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers --- Paul M. Sharpley, Kenneth B. Sharpley, Herman L. Sharpley, Sr. and Willie Ray Sharpley, Sr., and one sister --- Foree Sharpley Lampkin.

He leavers to cherish his memory a wife, Mrs. Brenda C. Sharpley; one daughter, Debra (Paul) Prince of Moulton, AL; two sons: Steven Muhammad and Corbett (Yvette) Ruthier, both of Dayton, OH; one step-daughter, Coretta (Troy) Carroll of Decatur, AL; two sisters, Bobbie Smith of Decatur, AL and Syronda Smith of Hartselle, AL; one brother, Dwain (Ossie) Sharpley of Decatur, AL; grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

William was loved and respected by all and will be dearly missed.
