Funeral for MICHAEL O’NEAL “MIKE-KITE” WIGGINS will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 26, 2010 at First Missionary Baptist Church with The Reverend Herbert Cartwright Jr. officiating and burial in Sterrs Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral service. Public Viewing will be on Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.
MICHAEL O’NEAL WIGGINS was born to the late Hugh L. Wiggins and Lorne Hill Wiggins on June 9, 1964. He departed this life on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Athens Limestone Hospital. He was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers: Hugh L. Wiggins, Jr. and Billy J. Wiggins; and one sister, Bretty Joe Wiggins.
He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined First Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Herbert Cartwright, Jr.
He leaves to forever cherish his memory, a devoted wife, Joyce Ann Randolph Wiggins of Athens, Alabama; five children: Dominique Watkins, Chuntelle Sandford, and Franchesea Randolph, all of Decatur, Alabama, Katrina B. (Quinland) Parker and Tanqela R. (Gaven) Russell. all of Athens, Alabama; 13 grandchildren; three sisters: Irene W. (Harold) Elliott, Patricia Garvin, and Connie W. Harris of Decatur, Alabama; two brothers: Stanley Wiggins of Decatur, Alabama and Johnny (Connie) Wiggins of Las Vegas, Nevada; two uncles of Decatur, Alabama, one uncle of Racine, Wisconsin, one aunt of Russellville, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
