Graveside Service for Mr. Jared Bolden 23 of Hillsboro, Alabama will be noon Friday at Sterrs Cemetery with Rev. James Videau officiating. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Thursday from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.  

Jared Nakuan Bolden was born December 22, 2000, to Tavoris Bolden and LaTanya Swopes Bolden. He departed this life on March 27, 2024 in Decatur, Alabama.

Jared was known for his wit and smooth dance moves. He could light up a room with his entrance and infectious smile. If you knew Jared well, this should make you smile. Jared accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age under the leadership of Elder Calvin M. Hood Sr. at Flower Hill COGIC. He served as a devoted member singing in the choir and performing other Christian duties. He later moved his membership to Wayman Chapel AME church under the leadership of the Reverend Robert Hereford Sr. At the time of his death, he attended Victory Church under the leadership of Pastor Eva Owens.

Jared was educated in the Decatur City School System and also Lawrence County School System. During his attendance at East Lawrence High School, he was a star player in both basketball and football sports. He graduated from East Lawrence High School in 2019. At the time of his death, he was employed at the Alabama Farmers Co-op (AFC) located in Decatur, AL.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tavoris Bolden, grandfather, George Swopes Sr. and sisters; De’Ja Bolden and Ade’Ja Bolden.

He leaves to cherish his memory his kids: Kenzleigh, Kenedi, Kanyan, and Tru; Mother, LaTanya Davis (Mario), Sister, Je’Da Bolden; Brother, Deontay Prettyman; Special sisters; Diamond Davis, Ashley Davis; Special brother; Mario Davis Jr. (Brooke); Grandparents James and Edna Bolden, Dorothy Swopes, Barbara Taylor; God Mother; Robin Burks Clay, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
