Alexander Charles C. “Coach Coop” Cooper was born on March 26, 1988 to Jimmy Allison and Alexia Charmaine Cooper Allison in Sheffield, Alabama. He departed this life April 25, 2018 in Decatur, Alabama. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at First Bible Church in Decatur, AL, with Pastor Keith Williams, officiating and inhumation in Sterrs Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to the service. Family visitation will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 7 :00 p.m. at Westside M. B. Church.
Alexander Charles Chrisman Cooper was born on March 26, 1988 in Sheffield, Alabama to Jimmy and Charmaine Cooper Allison. He entered into internal rest on April 25, 2018 at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Westside Baptist Church under Pastor George Smith.
He graduated from Decatur High School. He also attended the University of West Alabama and Calhoun Community College. He was a member of Sigma Pi (Theta Gamma Chapter). He played for North Alabama football for a cure for cancer and in the winter collected coats for the homeless. He helped coached football at Decatur High School where he loved all the players and tried to be a positive role model to the athletes.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Early L. Cooper, Sr., Mr. And Mrs. Jim Hammonds, and Mr. and Mrs. Lennie Pointer, Aunt Emmaline Allison Metcalf, and a beloved and honorary brother John Bibb.
He is survived by: his fiancé Emily Westmoreland and children Lila and Cam Westmoreland of Hartselle; parents, Jimmy Allison (Calinda) and Charmaine Allison of Decatur; siblings, Shaneqa Allison of Athens, Demontray Allison of Decatur; loving grandparents, Early L. Cooper, Jr and Fannie Cooper of Florence, devoted aunts and uncles, Anita Weakley of Florence, Revs Rhodes of Tuscumbia, Julius Rhodes of Birmingham, James Rhodes of Virginia, Sheba Rhodes, Sheila Rhodes Wesley (Tommy), Juliet Rhodes Reed (Randy), Reva Rhodes, Farentino Payne (Cynthia) Terrance Payne ( Shell) all of Huntsville, Godmother Rajaunnda Brown Candy of Atlanta, GA, second family Judge David and Evelyn Bibb.
