Anna Laura (Wright) Wood

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Anna Laura Wood, 82 of Decatur, AL will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Progressive Ourtreach Minstries with The Reverend Arthur Warrior, pastor officating.  Interment will follow in Decatur City Cemetery.  The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral.  Public viewing will be Thursday from 3-7 and Friday from 10-7 at Reynolds Funeral Home.  

Anna Laura Wright Wood was born October 30, 1936 to the late James Wright and Bessie Swoopes in Morgan County, Alabama.  She departed this life on March 5, 2019 at the River City Center.

She attended Progressive Christian Outreach Ministry for many years under Pastor Arthur L. Warrior.

She was united in marriage to the late Thomas Wood.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Elaine Fields; siblings,  Lela Swoopes, Nathan Hines, Bob Hines, Richard Jr. Hines, David Hines and Terris  Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: two daughters, Gloria Porter (Gregory) and Mary Ann Robinson (Robert) both of Decatur, AL; two sisters, Mamie Jackson and Sharlotte Hines both of Decatur, AL; four loving brothers,  Billy Hines, Tommy Hines, Jameel Wright and Fredrick Wright of Decatur, AL; grandchildren, Feleshia Johnson, Cynthia Johnson, Lamont Johnson, Cory Johnson, Leshia Burt (Patrick), Bessie Hill, Thomas Hill, Jr., Keenya Newman (Tyrone), John Johnson, Bernard Johnson, Franklin Johnson, Phillip Johnson, Sharmeshia Orr (Shawn); and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
