A celebration of life for Ms. Annie Ruth Jackson, 56 of Decatur, AL. and formerly of Valhermoso Springs, AL will be noon Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Mt. Mariah U.M. Church with the Reverend Edward Martin officiating.  Inhumation will follow in Currys Chapel  Cemetery.  The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral.  Public viewing will be Thursday from 3-7 and Friday from 10-7 at Reynolds Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-7 at the funeral home.  

Annie Ruth Jackson was born March 7, 1961 to the late RD and Edweena Jackson in Valhermoso Springs, Alabama.  She departed this life on January 9, 2018 at Decatur Morgan Hospital.

She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Curry's Chapel C.M.E. Church and remained a devoted member until her death. She attended Brewer High School and also retired from General Motors.

Annie was a loving person and often expressed her love through her generosity toward others. She had a very unique sense of humor, was kind and had a beautiful smile.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Samuel Jackson; and nephew, Joshua Jackson.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory; a very special companion Jim Neighbor of Decatur, Alabama; three sisters, Odessa (Glenn) Hill of Trinity, Alabama, Melvina (Curtis) Chatman of Huntsville, Alabama and Dorris McDonald of Valhermoso Springs, AL; four brothers, Charlie Jackson, Willie (Vanessa) Jackson of Decatur, AL, Calvin (Rosa) Jackson and Edward (Jackie) Jackson of Valhermoso Springs, Alabama; eight nieces, Marquita Jackson, Tracey Chatman, Misty Robert, Joycelyn Jackson, Ginger (Lamond) Boykins, Fallan Bentford, Brittany Jackson, and Felisha Johnson; four nephews, Brandon (Charon) Hill, Edward Jackson, Jr., Lamont (Noel) Jackson and Orlando Jackson; three special babies, Jaylen, Jeremy and Taylor Chatman; devoted friends, Glenn (Cheryl) Hodge of Hartselle, Alabama, Melvin Garret of Texas, Sylvia McMullins of Athens, Alabama, and Shannon Fike, Mt. Hope, Alabama; a host of uncles, aunts, great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Nephews and Cousins. Flower Bearers will be Nieces and Great-nieces.
