A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 12 Noon at Mt. Olive P.B. Church with The Reverend Fred Jefferson, Officiating and interment in the Decatur City Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to the service. Public viewing will be Sunday, 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Monday, 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Carl Miller affectionately known as "Dudley" was born on April 27, 1948 in Hillsboro, Alabama, to Hortense Miller.
He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was united with Bethlehem P.B. Church in Hillsboro, Alabama. He later moved his membership to Mt. Olive P.B. Church where he remained faithful until his death.
He was preceded in death by two children, Lavoris Hampton and Jeannine McDaniel; two brothers, Charles and Kenneth; one sister, Marsha.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife, Rose Steele Miller of Decatur; a devoted mother, Hortense Miller of Hillsboro, AL; one son, Carl Jackson of Louisville, KY; four daughters, Tamatha Jones, Kimberly Grays, Katrina Hampton and Crystal McDay all of Decatur; three stepchildren, Shannon X Steele (Cantanna X), Patrick Steele (Brandy), and Tierra Steele all of Decatur; three sisters, Mattie Birt (Willie), Jennifer Miller both of Hillsboro, AL, and Cynthia Johnson (Billy) of Decatur; one brother, Jerome Miller of Hillsboro, AL; two sisters-in-law, Vickie Steele Poleate (Milt) and Tracy Steele Fletcher of Decatur; four brothers-in-law, Johnny Steele, Dennis Steele of Decatur, C.L. Steele (Krystal) of Charlotte, NC and Mitchell Bridgeforth of Tanner, AL; two aunts; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a loving and devoted great-grandson, Khilan Randolph; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Delaney Borum, Earnest McClain, Nathan Owens, Donnie Trammell, Marcus Trammell and Larry Watkins. Flower Bearers will be Ruth Clay, Vivian McDaniel, Zelma Perkins, Michelle Trammell, Janetta Thompson and Rose Matthews.
