A Celebration of Life for Mr. Corey M. Johnson, 48 of Denver. CO. will be noon Friday, May 31, 2019 at United Pentecostal Jubilee House of Prayer with Bishop Thomas D. Strong officiating and inhumation in Sterrs Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral. Public viewing will be Thursday from 12:00 pm-5:30pm at Reynolds Funeral Home. The family will received friends also on Thursday from 5:30-6:30pm at the funeral home. Mr. Johnson died May 19, 2019 at Rose Medical Center in Denver, CO.
Corey Marquette Johnson was born in Decatur, Alabama on April 18, 1971 to Willie Marie Johnson and the late Michael Nance. He departed this life on May 19, 2019 at Rose Memorial Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
He gave his life to Christ at a young age and joined the Pentecostal House of Prayer.
He was a graduate of Austin High School Class of 1991. After graduation he served in the United States Army.
Corey was preceded in death by his father; his sisters, Brittany Johnson and Marcia Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Willie Marie Johnson of Decatur; Shellie Johnson of Denver, CO; two daughters, Amberley Johnson of Town Creek, AL and Alyssa Savannah Driskell of Decatur; two sons, Robert Tarrence Johnson of Town Creek, AL and Marquez Williams of Huntsville, AL; four sisters, Charntilly Johnson of Decatur, Veronica Williamson, Falisha Williamson and Surlena Williamson all of Denver, CO; two brothers, Rochee Johnson of Decatur, Craig Williamson of Denver, CO; one granddaughter, Avayan Jones of Town Creek, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
