David Lee Walton

A Celebration of Life for Mr. David Lee Walton, 65 of Belle Mina, AL, will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Reynolds Funeral Home with the Reverend Eddie L. Walton Jr. officiating.  Mr. Walton died on November 27, 2019 in Limestone County, Alabama.  Public viewing will be Monday from 1-6 and Tuesday from 10-1 at Reynolds Funeral Home. 

David Walton was born on March 11, 1954 to Isaac Walton and the late Virginia Stewart.  He was raised by his grandmother Betsy, and received the love and affection of his aunts.

David attended school at Dogwood Flat and later Mooresville Belle Mina and East Limestone where he was an excellent football player.

On January 11, 1974 he married the late  Betsy Thatch and their union blessed the world with their son, David Thatch.

He worked faithfully for the Pryors for many years, and in doing so, built a relationship that lasted past the end.

David transitioned from this life on November 26, 2019, but not before sharing with many throughout the years that he had “been to the water”.

He leaves to honor and cherish his memory: his father, Isaac Walton and his mother, Pearlie Mae Walton; his son, David Thatch; his stepbrother, Edward L. Moore; grandchildren, Jaleel D. Thatch, Kaidynce E. Sales, and Jackson Thatch; his uncle, Fred Pride; several cousins and the entirety of the community of Belle Mina.
