A Celebration of Life for Mr. Ed Lebrond Garner, 68 of Decatur, AL. will be noon Thursday at Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church and burial in Warren Cemetery. There will be no public viewing. Professional services entrusted to Reynolds Funeral Home.
Mr. Ed Lebrond Garner was born on March 20, 1951 to the late Frank Garner and the late Letha Mae Warren Garner in Chattanooga, TN, later moving to Town Creek, AL. He departed this life on May 5, 2019 at his residence in Decatur, AL.
He attended school in the Lawrence County School System. He was employed at Amoco in Decatur. He later was employed by Champion Papers (IP) and after many years he retired. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Edith Lyle and this union was blessed with three children.
Ed accepted Christ at an early age. He united with Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and later joined Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Willie Frank, Earnest Lee, Elton C. and Jeff Garner.
Ed leaves to mourn his passing: dear friend, Edith Garner of Decatur; two sons, Ed (LaShaun) Garner, Jr., of Decatur and Andre (Theresa) Garner of Miami, FL; two daughters, Kimberly (Henry) Pendelton and Deja Davis of Decatur; three sisters, Diane (Larry) Holley of Cincinnati, OH, Christine Garner and Darlene Pearson, both of Town Creek, AL; five brothers, Ralph Garner, Lee Ester (Bridgett) Garner of Town Creek, AL, Phillip (Donna) Garner of Montgomery, AL, Frank Garner of Cincinnati, OH and Donnie Cheatham of Town Creek, AL; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; aunt, Ceola Warren of Town Creek, Al; sister-in-law, Minister Betty Garner of Tuscumbia, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
