A Celebration of Life for Mr. Edward Arnold Stegall, 62 of Decatur, Alabama will be noon Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at United Pentecostal Jubilee House of Prayer with Bishop Thomas D. Strong officiating. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral. Public viewing will be Monday from 3-6 and Tuesday from 10-6 at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Edward Arnold Stegall was born on February 10, 1956 in Decatur, Alabama to the late Jeff Stegall and Dorothy Jean Chapman (the late Hezekiah Chapman Jr.). He departed this life on August 16, 2018.
He confessed his life to Christ at an early age and united with Apostolic Church of God in Decatur, Alabama.
Edward attended Cherry Street Elementary School in Decatur, AL and later attended school in California for his high school junior and senior years.
He was a very loving and caring person who enjoyed life and working on things. He would have helped anybody. Truly he was an angel on earth until he was called home. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.
Edward was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Marie and Edward Cooper; his son, Michael Joel Stegall; his brother, Larry Darnell Gill-Chapman and his sister, Sally Lockett.
Edward leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted wife, Melissa Stegall; two daughters, Alyssa Nichole Baker and Victoria Faith Stegall; three sons, Jonathan Edward Stegall, Herman Isaac Stegall and Harvey Joel Stegall; his loving mother, Dorothy Jean Chapman; seven special grandchildren, Jayden Oman Baker, Harlee Faith Stegall Micah O’brian Langham, Landon Noel Langham, Kyree’ Lamar Pointer, Kalani Saria Pointer and Ja’mauni Stegall; three sisters, Sharon Chapman, Juliette Chapman and Esther Chapman; four brothers, Mario Chapman, Jerome Chapman (Annie), Robert Gill and Bennie Sam Scott; many cousins, other relatives and friends.
