A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home in Hartselle, AL, with Brother Barry Brackins officiating  and Interment in Hartselle Memory Gardens. Public viewing will be Thursday, 3:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. and Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Francis “Fannie” Virginia Jones Hereford was born January 4, 1940 in Town Creek, Alabama to the late Albert Jones Sr. and Laura Mae White Jones.  She departed this life on December 10, 2017 at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville, Alabama.

Francis confessed Christ at an early age and was an active member of Pennylane Church of Christ until her health failed.  She truly loved the Lord and it was exemplified in her daily life.  She was employed for many years at the Morgan County Courthouse and she later retired from the Hartselle City School System.  She was an entrepreneur all of her life up until her illness.  She had a passion for cooking and singing in which she was a member of the Pennylane Church of Christ Singing Group.  She loved her family with all her heart and was always there to support them

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Albert Jones Sr. and Laura Mae White Jones; a sister, Lizzie Bell Taylor; brothers, Albert Jones Jr., Billy Jones, Norah Jones and George Jones; a brother-in-law, Robert Taylor.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: four sons, Melvin Jones of Birmingham, Kenneth Love of Huntsville, Reginald Love (Emily) and Michael Hereford both of Hartselle; five sisters, Mary Turney (Bro. Marvin) of Huntsville, Susie Orr (Jack) and Rosie Foster both of Hartselle, Lila Mae Malone of Decatur, Annie White (Joe) of Jeffersonville, IN; two brothers, Johnny Jones (Eunice) and Charles Jones (Thelma) both of Hartselle; one granddaughter, Cynthia Burnett of Madison; four great grandchildren, J’Taveon Elliott, Montreious Elliott and Chayden Nelson and Cyntayia Elliott all of Madison; two sisters-in-law, Deborah Jones and Ella Jones all of Hartselle; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,  other relatives and friends.
