Gaynell (Donner) McLemore

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Gaynell D. McLemore,69, of Decatur, Alabama will be Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Alpha Seventh Day Adventist Church, with Pastor Larry Bailey, Officiating.  Mrs. McLemore passed away on June 4, 2018 at her residence.  

Gaynell Donner McLemore was born, the only baby girl, to Mable Cooks Donner and the late Willie Donner, in Jefferson County, Alabama on October 13, 1948.  She entered into eternal rest on June 4, 2018.

Gaynell was educated in the Jefferson County School System, graduating from Hayes High School.

She was a member of Alpha SDA Church of Decatur, AL where she thrived as an important member of her church family.

Gaynell was an exceptional friend, always ready and willing to go, do, be, whenever called. Where there was fun and laughter, she was right in the middle of it.  For her, being a Christian and loving God was the most important part of her life. Next to loving her children and grandchildren.

Gaynell was preceded in death by her father; her grandmother, Mary Betts Rutledge, and brother Willie James Donner (Lene).

She leaves to mourn: a mother, Mable E. Donner (Willie); a daughter, Andrea Donner Orr (Printess); a son, Eric Manwell McLemore (Angela); two grandchildren, Andre James Mayes and Corinthian Manwell McLemore; six sisters, Brenda Coletrain, Theresa Armer, Concetta Anderson, Patricia Perry, Stephanie Hurt and Lashun Tell; five brothers, Fredrick Finley, Charlie Donner, Michael Jackson, Albert Jackson and Colbert Tucker; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
