Reynolds Funeral Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of George Wiggins Sr, 76 of Indianapolis, IN and formerly of Decatur, AL.  Mr. Wiggins passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 in Indianapolis.  Funeral Service will be Saturday October 28, 2017 1pm at Canaan M.B Church in Hillsboro with interment to follow in Decatur City Cemetery.

The remains will lie in state from one hour prior to service.

Public viewing will be Friday from 12pm-6pm.

Mr. George Elmon Wiggins, Sr. was born to the late Alex Wiggins, Jr. and Veter Gideon Wiggins on December 28, 1940 in Morgan County, Alabama.  He departed this life on October 20, 2017 at Kindred Wildwood in Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his stepparents, Mildred Wiggins and Theodore Harris, Sr.; siblings, Iona Harris, John Wiggins, Veter Garth, Anthony Anderson, Edward Wiggins and granddaughter, Vivian Nicole Wiggins.

George confessed Christ at an early age and joined Lighthouse of the World Church in Indianapolis, IN.  At the age of 18 he joined the U. S. Army and was also a member of the Army Reserve.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Shirley Wiggins of Indianapolis, IN; a life-long special friend, Vivian Torain Wiggins of Decatur, AL; daughters, Emma Wiggins Pointer, Christine Wiggins, LaTonya Wiggins, Jacqueline Gholston all of Decatur, AL, Senetra Price of Indianapolis, IN; sons, George E. Wiggins, Jr. (Jennifer) of Decatur, AL,  Ron Wiggins (Carolyn) of New Mexico, Timothy Wiggins, Alfred Torain, Anthony Wiggins of Decatur, AL, Jesse Harris of Indianapolis, IN; brothers, Jimmy Banks (Alberta), Parvin Wiggins (Jackie), Alex L. Wiggins all of Madison, AL, Theodore Harris (Teresa) of Decatur, AL; sisters, Dora Bynum, Rhodella Mitchell, Shirlyn Jones, Debra Gill (Gary) all of Decatur, AL, Melissa Fletcher (Phillip), Edna Phillips (Charles) all of Huntsville, AL, Annie Crutcher (James) of Madison, AL, Sharon Clemons (Bobby) of Harvest, AL; uncle, Welton Gideon of Huntsville, AL; sisters-in-law, Ava Brewer (Leon), Patricia Randell (William), Frances Matthews (Carl) all of Indianapolis, IN; brothers-in-law, John Jefferson (Brenda), Bobby Jefferson (Eva), Rickey Jefferson (Palisha), Travis Jefferson (Susan) all of Indianapolis, IN; a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will by Nephews and Grandsons. Flower Bearers will be Nieces and Granddaughters.
