A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Ida Miland will be noon Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Jerusalem P.B. Church in Belle Mina, AL with The Reverend Donnie Malone officiating and inhumation in Decatur City Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00pm-7:00pm at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Ida Elizabeth Miland was born to the late Straughter Pickett and Ida Mae Miland on April 29, 1945. Ida made her peaceful transition home on August 23, 2019 at Madison Hospital in Madison, AL. Awaiting her heavenly entrance were her siblings; Fred, Emma, James, Jack. Otis Robert, Ivory, John, George, Leo Luette, Lelia, Lillie and Straughter Mae.
Upon making her confession to Christ, she united with New Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until her health failed.
Ida worked numerous years as a caregiver and a private home steward
Ida leaves to cherish her memory: three very devoted children, George (Jerri) Miland of Decatur, Brenda Edwards of Tanner, AL and Annette Miland of Belle Mina, AL; nine grandchildren, Larry Edwards (Krissy), Lorenzo Williams, Starnecia Farrar, Braden Manzie, Ashton Miland, Americale Miland, Bianca Ware, Perez Ware and Leon Ware; one dear devoted brother, Tony Miland (Teresa); four sisters, Jewel Smith, Emma Timmonson of Madison, Patsy Miland of Decatur, DeLoise Brown of Decatur; four sisters-in-law, Ruth Pickett of Madison, AL, Rosie Pickett, Cebell Pride of Madison, AL and Lois Pickett of Decatur; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, god-children, god-grandchildren; several very special and devoted friends, James Brown, Mrs. Ella Pitts, James (Jeanette) Troupe and Tony (Teresa) Miland,
