A Celebration of Life for Ms. Judy Hampton, 71 of Decatur, AL. will be 1:00 PM, Monday, November 6, 2017 at Macedonia C.P.Church in America with Elder Robert Brown officiating and inhumation to follow in Sterrs Cemetery.  The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral.  Public viewing will be Saturday from 12-6 and Sunday from 10-6 at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Judy Maria Jones Hampton as born January 2, 1946 in Hillsboro, AL to the late Mary and Willie Jones. She departed this life on October 31, 2017.

She was a faithful member of David Temple P.B. Church in Decatur AL. She was a member of the Usher Board, choir, secretary and Women’s Auxiliary. She was a nurse at Decatur General Hospital and also Medical Park. She retired from Culver Cleaners.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Hampton, Sr. and a sister, Eva May Amerson.

Judy is survived by her children: Anthony Hampton (Ann) of Decatur, AL, Barbra Bankston of Decatur, AL, Felix Hampton, Jr., of Decatur, AL, Brenda Hampton of Decatur, AL, Pamela Hampton of Rockford, IL, Godfrey Hampton of Decatur, AL, Derrick Hampton (Nicole) of Birmingham, AL, Gwendolyn Guest of Decatur, AL and Larry Hodges (Floreese) of Decatur, AL; brothers and sisters, Shirley Bates-Davis of Decatur, AL, Alberta Brown of Newburgh, NY, Vivan MacDaniel of Gardiner, NY, Mary Jones of Rockford, IL, Marilyn Bats of Decatur, AL, Janice Watkins (Don) of Hillsboro, AL, Robert Lee Bates, Jr. (Daisy) of Columbus, OH, Garyon Bates (Cheryl) of Hillsboro, AL, Levert Bates of Hillsboro, AL, Russell Bates of Hillsboro, AL; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
