Funeral Service for Leon “Lee” Garth will be noon, Friday at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church in Hillsboro, AL with the Reverend Bryce Lipscomb officiating and the Reverend Marcus Jackson Eulogist. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral service.  Interment will follow in Sykes Cemetery.
Public Viewing will be Wednesday from 2:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. and Thursday from 9:00 A.M. -7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Leon “Lee” Garth was born on March 12, 1932 to Alberta Brooks and Stock Garth in Morgan County, Alabama. He was called into eternal rest on Monday, April 4, 2011.
Lee grew up in the Cedar Lake and Priceville Communities. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined St. Peters Missionary Baptist Church. Lee resided in Decatur, AL and later moved to Hillsboro, AL. He remained there until he was called into eternal rest. Lee was an employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., Davis Construction and he was a very loyal and devoted employee for Reynold’s Funeral Home. He loved serving and helping people during their times of bereavement.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother; Walsh Swoopes, Jr., and sisters, Barbara Ann Swoopes and Bessie Robinson.
Lee is survived by a very loving and devoted companion of 43 years; Mary L. Burt of Hillsboro, AL; three Children John Love (Antonette) and Kimberly Jackson (Dennis) of Decatur, AL and Kendrick Burt (Andrea) of Lester, Alabama; his companions three children; Constance Davis (Laurence III) of Trinity, AL, Dewanda Jackson (Marcus) of Lithonia, GA and Angelo Burt of Hillsboro, AL; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren two sisters, Katie Mae Sails and Ljulia Jones of Decatur, AL; three brothers, Samuel Fletcher and Willie Lewis Swoopes (Bertha) of Decatur, AL and Frank Swoopes (Wilella) of Chattanooga,TN; sister-in-law, Katie Lee Swoopes of Decatur, AL and  a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  
Flower Attendants will be Nieces.
Pallbearers will be Fred Burt Jr., Lee Perkins, Lorenzo Burt, Stevie Williams, Conley Swoopes, Wenfred Swoopes, Michael Swoopes, Jerome Swoopes, Ronnie Swoopes and Frank Swoopes, Jr.
