Maurice Stovall was born August 14, 1940 in Landersville, Alabama to the late James Harden Stovall and Ella Argralia McCord Stovall. He departed his life Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 2:13 am at Gadsden Regional Medical Centre in Gadsden, Alabama.
Maurice was the eldest of two children, both of which were lovingly nurtured and partially raised by their late maternal grandparents, Arthur Alvie McCord and Essie Bell Thirlkill McCord in Landersville, AL. Their paternal grandparents are the late Quirrell Cleere and Mossie Stovall.
Maurice graduated from Moulton High School in Moulton, AL in 1958. While attending high school he played football for the Moulton Gophers.
