A Celebration of Life for Mr. Michael Wayne “Dooney” Irvin Jr., 30 of Decatur, Alabama will be noon, Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Macedonia C. P. Church in America with The Reverend Antwon Plott officiating.  Inhumation will follow in Sterrs Cemetery.  The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the funeral.  The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:30 PM-6:30 PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Michael entered this life on December 26, 1988 in Decatur, Alabama to Michael Wayne Irvin Sr. and Georgia Ann Bolden Irvin. He departed this life on Monday, February 25, 2019 at his residence.

He confessed his faith in Christ at an early age at Springhill Church and currently was a member of Macedonia C.P. Church.   He was a 2007 graduate of Decatur High School where he played basketball and ran track.  He later attended Calhoun College for a brief time before ending his education to take care of his eldest daughter.  He was the owner of a HLM Trucking Company and most of all he was a proud father.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Michael and Emma Lou Irvin, Jr. and George (Son) and Kattie Mae Bolden; great-grandmother, Artillia Bolden.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Michael Sr. and Georgia Irvin both of Hillsboro; his fiance’, Leslie Huaracha-Hernandez; two daughters, Micah K. Irvin and Leilani Irvin; son, Michael Irvin III, all of Decatur; three brothers, James “Michael” Bolden, William “Maurice” (Sheron) Bolden and Phillip Powell all of Decatur; three sisters, Barbara Nicole (Travis) Harris, Karnitha Steele and Whitney (Theodore) Davenport all of Decatur; special brother-in-law, Keithan Steele of Priceville, special nephew, Tychicus Bolden of Decatur; special brothers, Rolando McClain of Tuscaloosa, Jarodiaus Willingham, Demarcus Orr and Derrick Parker all of Decatur and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
