Phyllis Ann (Watkins) Willingham

A Celebration of Life will be noon Saturday at North Courtland P.B.Church and inhumation to follow in Annie Willingham Memorial Gardens. The remains will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00PM-7:30PM at Reynolds Funeral Home. She is the wife of Dave Willingham III.
Mrs. Phyllis Ann Watkins Willingham was born in Hillsboro, AL on October 23, 1939 to the late Jim & Ethel Clack Watkins. She departed this life on November 24, 2017 in Birmingham, AL.
She was a homemaker. She loved and enjoyed fishing, cooking and taking care of her house plants and making people laugh.
As a young lady, Phyllis confessed Christ and was a member of North Courtland P.B. Church where she served as President of the Usher Board and Custodian until her health began to fail.
Among those who preceded her in death were: her parents; four brothers, Henderson Johnson, Jim Jr., Elmo and Ernest Watkins; a sister, Hedy Hill; and two grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted husband, Dave Willingham III of Courtland, AL; eight children, Diane Vinson, Hillsboro, AL, Caroline (Paul) Taylor, Courtland, AL, Christlon (Marty) McLemore, Philadelphia, MS, Mary Erives, Phoenix, AZ, Dave (Norma) Willingham IV, Hillsboro, AL; Jacqueline (Kennedy) Byrd, Courtland, AL, Yolanda Goodlow, Hillsboro, AL, and Reco Willingham, Yazoo City, MS; 20 Grandchildren; 27 Great Grandchildren; four Great-Great Grandchildren; one brother, James W. (Dr. Edwena) Watkins; two sisters, Gloria (Billy) Young and Sandra (Kent) Wright, all of Hillsboro, AL; five sisters-in-law, Sally Mason, Helen (Victor) Jacobs, Pearl (Kenneth) Duff, Christine (Bruce) Cal; and one brother-in-law, Richard Green; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
