A Celebration of Life for Mr. Robert Harold Romine, 73 of Valhermosa Springs, AL. will be noon, Saturday at Mt. Mariah U.M. Church with the Reverend Edward Martin officiating and burial in Curry’s Chapel Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:30-6:30 at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Robert Harold Romine was born on December 18, 1944 to the late Robert Lee Romine and Flora Campbell Romine in Morgan County, Alabama. He departed this life on July 16, 2018 at his residence.
He accepted Christ at an early age and united with Curry Chapel Church. “Boodie”, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, attended school at Morgan County Training School, in Morgan County.
He was employed at the Decatur Utilities for over 30 years. His hobbies were; fishing, hunting and listening to his favorite music “The Blues”.
“Boodie” was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Spencer and Alphonso Romine.
He leaves to cherish his memory: one son, Robert “Sike” Chatman of Somerville; sisters, Gertrude R. Fletcher of Decatur, Dorothy Chatman of Columbus, OH and Ernestine Watkins of Detroit, MI; one brother, Nelson Romine of Columbus, OH; special uncle, Irvin Romine, Jr., of Anniston, AL; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Nephews and Great Nephews. Flower Bearers will be Nieces and Great Nieces.
