Robert Clay Sharpley

Robert Clay Sharpley was born and reared by Herman and Irene Walton Sharpley on November 23, 1959 in Hartselle, Alabama.  He departed his life on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at River City Center in Decatur, Alabama surrounded by family.

Robert attended Morgan County Training School and graduated from Morgan County High School.  He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.  He studied with the Jehovah’s Witnesses until his health failed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bobby Leon Garth Chapman.

Those left to cherish his memory includes his loving ex-wife, Lisa McCoy Sharpley; children, Cpl. Robert D’Quan Sharpley of  Jacksonville, NC and Jordan Lee Sharpley of Hartselle, AL; brother, Herman Lee Sharpley, Jr. (Gerlene) of Killen, AL; sister, Shirley Sharpley Bonney (Delshon) of Hartselle, AL; sister-in-law, Linda Williams Chapman of Priceville, AL; three nieces, Terri Sharpley Reynolds (Venny) of Montgomery, AL, Montra Turney and Bridget Bonney, both of Hartselle, AL; two nephews, Korrie Chapman (Shannon) of Hartselle, AL and Tim Garth (Tammy) of Decatur, AL; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and other loving relatives and friends.

A private memorial service will be done at a later date.
