A Celebration of Life for Ms. Rosalind “Genie” Regina Malone, 55 of Decatur will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Reynolds Funeral Home with the Reverend Patrick Tucker, officiating and the Reverend Frederick Abernathy, eulogizing.

Rosalind “Genie” Regina Malone was born on July 31, 1962, in Tuscumbia, Alabama to the late Russell Malone and Mattie Lee Iverson. She departed this life on December 20, 2017 at Decatur General Hospital, in Decatur, AL.

She confessed Christ at the age of 37, and was an active member of St. James Church in Leighton, Alabama, where she remained a faithful member until moving to Decatur, AL. Rosalind graduated from Shoals Community College in Upholstery and was a Jack-of-All trades.

She was all about her children and dearly loved them. She was also dedicated to her family and friends. Genie never had a closed hand to anybody that came to her and was in need. She had a passion for cooking, music and enjoying her time with all of her family in her 55 years of life.

Rosalind was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kevin Earl Malone; and brother, Carl McCray.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: her two daughters, Quinacco Malone and Tiffany Malone; sister, Felicia Swoopes; brother, Russell Wayne Malone; her devoted sister/friend, Glenda Tiggs; grandchildren, Tamara King, Tamiya Malone, Takyrie, Tamarion and Tadyn Malone; one great-grandchild, Jakye; special cousin, Kenneth Malone and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
