A Celebration of Life for Mr. Warner Dillard, 75 of Hillsboro, AL. will be noon Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Reynolds Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Reverend George Sawyer, officiating and inhumation in Sterrs Cemetery. Public viewing will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Warner Lee “Head” Dillard was born on February 7, 1943 in Lawrence County, Alabama to Beatrice Dillard and Leslie Mayes. He departed this life on January 19, 2019 in Huntsville, AL.
He accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Tennessee Valley School. He retired from Goodyear Mills with 36 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepsons, Rickey and Garland Horton.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 54 years, Ruthie Blalock Dillard; his children, Anthony Dillard, Shawanni Gladney, Deresa Dillard of Hillsboro, AL, Rodney Dillard of Huntsville and Ron Dillard, (Tara) of Hillsboro; his sister, Cathleen Staten of Decatur; half-sisters, Laura Orr of Courtland, AL, Lula Harris and Robert Harris of Decatur; Laura Orr of Courtland, AL; Queen (Willie) King of Decatur; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; special cousin, Leo Smith Sr. of Hillsboro, AL; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Nephews and Cousins. Flower Bearers will be Nieces and Granddaughters.
