A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Willie Clarence Swope, Jr., will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 1:00 p.m. at United Pentecostal Jubilee House of Prayer with Bishop Thomas D. Strong, officiating and Interment in Calvary Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to the service. Public viewing will be Thursday, 3:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. and Friday 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Willie Clarence Swope, Jr., was born on August 7, 1971 in Decatur, Alabama to the late Willie Swope, Sr., and Delores Simpson Swope. He departed this life on October 3, 2018 in Knoxville, TN.
He attended schools in the Decatur City School System, graduating from Austin High School. He relocated to Knoxville, TN for five years.
Willie was preceded in death by his father and sister, Betty Jean Reed.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Vintrietus Mitchell Swope of Decatur; children, Levata Monique Swope, Madison Alexis Scott, Shamaud Malik Swope and Anazsha Lanae Swope; his loving mother, Delores Simpson; siblings, Wanda Utley (Muriel) of Decatur, Gertie Swoopes of Decatur, Annie Davis (Jordan) of Decatur, Ester Franklin of Knoxville, TN and Jennifer Franklin of Knoxville TN, Harriett Simmons (Lee) of Knoxville, TN, Shannon Swope-Brown of Decatur, Frankie Winrow (Dean) of Ashbury, NJ and Linda “Peaches” Swope of Louisville, KY; one uncle, George Simpson, Jr. (Lucy) of California; brothers-in-law, Nicholus and Tobias Mitchell of Decatur; special niece and nephew, Shontesha Franklin and Janice Bolding; nieces and nephews, Demetric, Jockia, Robert, Miguel, Lavada, Toborsha, Ronnisha, Messiah, Demauriee, Latiska, Corey, Tony Jr., Laquita, Marguita, Teionna, Jay, Timothy and Latoya; a special devoted friend, Angel Hall of Knoxville; a host of other relatives and friends.
