Services for Ms. Ade'ja Makia Bolden, 22, of Decatur, Alabama. will be Friday October 8, 2021. Graveside services will be Friday October 8, at 11:00am, at Sterrs Cemetery with Rev. Daphne Garner officiating. Public viewing will be Thursday, October 7, 2021, from 1pm until 6pm in the Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel.
Ade’Ja Makia Bolden was born February 17, 1999, to Tavoris Bolden and LaTanya Swopes Bolden. Ade’Ja was the third child born to this union and was a lifelong resident of Decatur, Alabama. She departed this life much too soon, October 1, 2021 at her residence.
Ade’Ja was a graduate of Austin High School class of 2017. She touched many lives during her short time here on earth. She had a smile that would light up a room, and her wit could turn a frown into a smile. She had a passion and gift for doing makeovers including styling and braiding hair and also doing facials. Ade’Ja worked several jobs and was employed at Jack’s as a team member at the time of her death.
Ade’Ja accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age under the leadership ofElder Calvin M. Hood Sr. at Flower Hill COGIC. She served as a devoted member singing in the choir and performing other Christian duties before later moving her membership to Wayman Chapel AME church under the leadership of the Reverend Robert Hereford Sr. Some of her favorite songs she led in the choir were “My Help”, “Is Your All On The Altar”, and “The Battle Is The Lord’s.” At the time of her death, she attended Victory Church under the leadership of the late Apostle Carter Videau, who transitioned the same day as she did.
Ade’Ja was preceded in death by her father; Tavoris Bolden, sister; De’Ja Lakia Bolden, and grandfather; George Swopes Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son; Tavoris Ky’Aire Bolden, mother; Latanya Davis (Mario), sister; Je’Da Bolden, brother; Jared Bolden, special sisters; Diamond Davis, Ashley Davis, special brother; Mario Davis Jr. (Brooke), grandparents; James and Edna Bolden, Dorothy Swopes, Barbara Taylor, nieces; Ka’Lani MaRae, Kenzleigh Jade and Kenedi Ariel, nephews; Kylen Jamir and Kymari Jace, God Mother; Robin Burks Clay, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
