Funeral Service for Mr. Alford Tyrone McDaniel, 67, of Decatur, Al will be 1:00 PM Saturday in Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel with Apostle Gary Taylor officiating. Inhumation will follow in Lindsey Memorial Garden. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Friday from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Alford Tyrone McDaniel was born April 18, 1957 in Lawrence County, AL to the late George McDaniel and Tommie Lee Whitson McDaniel. He transitioned from his earthly body to eternity on Wednesday December 4, 2024 at his residence in Decatur, Alabama.
Tyrone was educated in the Lawrence County School System and later worked at Ingalls Line Shipyard. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking for family, gardening, watching Westerns, and listening to the Blues. Tyrone was a loving, caring, and family-oriented person.
He accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Oakville Missionary Baptist Church.
Tyrone was preceded in death by: his sister, Ester “Cooda “McAfee; two brothers, George “Buddy “McDaniel Jr. and Larry McDaniel; four sisters-in-law, Essie Lee McDaniel, Evangelist Bettie Gaiter Grizzard, Tomella Gaiter Sykes, and Emma Gaiter; two brothers-in-law, Johnny Ray Gaiter and Elder Vernon “Von “Gaiter.
Tyrone leaves to cherish his memory: the love of his life for over 36 years, Mary Gaiter Amerson of Decatur, AL; two stepchildren, Lolitha Amerson and Gregory Gaiter; two sisters, Jewel (Rayford) Taylor of Moulton, AL and Imogene Mosley of Decatur, AL; one brother, Ronnie (Margarett) McDaniel of Moulton, AL; two uncles, Homer Whiston of Mt. Hope, AL and Woodard Whiston of Cleveland, OH; two special nephews that were dear to his heart, Micheal “UGG”Taylor and Kyser “Mane “Tapscott; three special devoted nieces, Pastor Adrianna Tapscott (Jeremy) Bridges, Danielle (Richard Sr.) Sykes and Wanda Mosley all of Decatur, Al; five brothers-in-law, Richard (Louise )Jones, Milton Gaiter, Willie ( Shirley ) Gaiter Sr. , Tommie Gaiter Sr. , Tommy Sykes, Jr. , and a host of other nieces , nephews , cousins and friends.
