Alice C (Bouldin) Young

Graveside service celebrating the life of Mrs. Alice Nell Bouldin Young; 72, of Hillsboro, AL, will be 1:30 pm Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Rocky Hill Cemetery in Courtland, AL with the Reverend David Young of Jackson Chapel CME, Courtland, AL officiating. Public viewing is Monday from 1pm to 5pm at Reynolds Funeral Home. 

Alice Nell Young was born on January 27, 1949 in Trinity, AL, to the late, Anderson Bouldin Sr. and the late Mary A. Clay Bouldin of Trinity, Alabama. She departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Love Chapel CME, Trinity, AL and later joined Jackson Chapel CME Church, Courtland, AL, where she remained a faithful member.

Alice was a cafeteria worker for ten years and worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Decatur, AL for 32 years until retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred Douglas Young Sr.; three brothers, Anderson “Red” Bouldin Jr., George C. Bouldin, and Jimmy Bouldin; two sisters, Doris Bouldin Carter and Virginia Woodruff.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory; a loving and devoted daughter, Andra Michelle “Shell” Young of Hillsboro, AL; a devoted son, Fred Douglas (Tatia) Young Jr. of Decatur, AL; four devoted granddaughters, Kianna Young of Hillsboro, AL; Toi Young, Faith Young, and Jade Young of Decatur, AL; a devoted grandson D’AirYoung of Decatur, AL; three sisters, Claudia Young (a devoted caretaker) of Courtland, AL, Minister Cormelia A. Turner of Decatur, AL, and Clara Smith of Hillsboro, AL; five brothers, Mizell (Gloria) Bouldin, Minister Sammie K (Pairese) Bouldin, Charles Sales all of Decatur, AL, Jerry L Bouldin of Trinity AL, and Marvin (Roseyln) Sales of Louisiana; five sisters-in-law, Trullie Watkins, Celestine (James) Gholston, Jeanette Young all of Decatur, AL, Cassie Battle of Huntsville, AL and Frances Ann Young of Hillsboro, AL; three brothers-in-law, Joe (Charlotte) Young of Courtland, AL, Roy Young of Hillsboro and Rodney (Donna) Young of Decatur, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
