Graveside Service for Mrs. Allisa Griffin Mason, 57 of Moulton, Alabama will be 11:30 am Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Lindsey Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Robert Yarbrough, Jr. officiating. Public viewing will be Saturday from noon till 5:30 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home. Mrs. Mason transitioned peacefully at her residence.
Allisa Griffin Mason was born in Lawrence County, AL to Gurnie Griffin and Barbara Gail Whitson in January 5, 1964. Early Wednesday morning March 3, 2021, God summoned an angel to 163 Parker Rd, to bring one of his precious children home to rest. Lisa answered her call. She said goodbye to no one. But softly closed her eyes and heeded God’s beckon call to her final flight.
Allisa accepted Christ at an early age and united with Oakville M.B. Church under the pastoral care of Pastor Willie Walter. She moved away to live in Cleveland, OH
She was a graduate of East High School in Cleveland, Ohio. Later, she returned to Oakville, AL an reconnected with Oakville M.B. Church, working with the ushers, in the kitchen and any place where her service was required. Allisa loved people and very seldom would she meet a stranger.
She was employed with home health. Her hobbies included fishing and homemaking. She also like going to the gym and being with friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gurnie Griffin and Barbara Gail Whitson; her grandparents and a son.
She will be cherished in loving, precious members by a loving and devoted husband, Leroy Mason; a daughter, Kesha Sellers; three sons, Anthony (Natasha), Isaac (Ashley) of Moulton, and Kenrell (Ambrea) Sellers of Huntsville, AL; sisters, Susan Spraggins (Michael) of Cleveland, OH and Gurnise Rodgers (Harris) of Decatur; brothers, Bernard Griffin of Decatur, Reginald Thirkill (Chasity) of LaGrange, GA, Bronson Thirkill of Moulton, Ray Thirkill (Mandy) of Moulton; sister-in-law, Johnnie Mae Roper of Decatur; brothers-in-law, John Mason Jr and Billy Joe Mason (Barbara) of Decatur; 10 grandkids; three uncles; and other relatives and many friends.
