Funeral Service for Ms. Allisha Chantel Young, 44 of Moulton, Alabama will be noon Monday May 18, 2026 at Freeman Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Reverend Timothy Perryman officiating. Inhumation will follow in Moulton Memory Gardens. Ms. Young will lie in repose one hour prior to service.
Public viewing will be Sunday from 1:00PM until 4:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Allisha Chantel Young was born on June 22, 1981, in Decatur, Alabama, to Leslie and Otis Young, passed away on May 9, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Hospital/Parkway Campus.
Allisha graduated from Lawrence County High School in 1999 and pursued a degree in Medical Billing and Coding during her college years. She expressed her faith in Christ at an early age and joined Freeman Tabernacle Baptist Church in Moulton, Alabama.
Allisha was a devoted mother, daughter, and sister. She cherished her family and spent quality time with them, especially during football season, as she was an avid Alabama fan. She was also a loving niece and an amazing and proud aunt to her nieces and nephews, whom she affectionately called “TT Lisha.”
She was preceded in death by her father, Otis Young; her niece, Kiarra Pruitt; her grandparents, Edward and Minnie Pruitt, and Florence Young; three aunts, Wanda Lee, Gail Pruitt, and Alice Gholston; and three uncles, Charles Young, Earnest Pruitt, and Dewayne Lee.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, including her two loving sons; Zavian Gildon and Jaylin Young; her mother, Leslie Young; three sisters, Lisa Pruitt, Nicole Davis (Christy), and Lamyra Matthews (Goree);one brother, Teddy Dinsmore; her grandfather, Melvin Lee; five aunts, Debra Young, Linda Pruitt, Edna Pruitt, Virginia Pruitt, and Diane Lee; four uncles, Clyde Pruitt, Freddy Pruitt, Charles Lee, and Calvin Lee; and a very special great uncle, Billy Lee five nieces: Kanesha Pruitt, Leslie Pruitt, Jasmine Christy (Madi), Larosa Johnson, and Kaisha Robinson; four nephews, Tevin Pruitt (Zayria), Evander Shackleford, Terrence Davis-Nix, and Edward Davis; and a host of great nieces and nephews, as well as many close and loving friends.
Allisha was a beautiful person with a beautiful spirit. She will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched, as she never met a stranger.
