Amy Priscilla (Dollar) McDaniel

Funeral Service for Mrs. Amy McDaniel,56, of Decatur, Alabama will be noon, Friday in Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Ronnie Powell officiating. Inhumation will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Thursday from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home. Ms. McDaniel transitioned February 11, 2024, at her residence.

Amy Priscilla Dollar McDaniel was born April 7, 1967, in Athens, Alabama to the late David Dollar and Glenda Faye Gemnell Dollar. She departed this life to her heavenly home on February 11, 2024, at her residence surrounded by loved ones and friends.

Amy attended West Morgan High School in Trinity, Alabama. Amy’s beautiful smile warmed the heart of Victor McDaniel, and they married on July 16, 2002. Amy was employed at Hardees Restaurant as a Front -End Manager, where the customers loved her smile when they walked through the door. She worked there until her health declined. Amy enjoyed watching the dolphins at the Tennessee Aquarium. The light of her day was holding her grandchildren and spending the time with them especially her “Tater”.

She was preceded in death by her father David Dollar and her daughter Melody Jackson.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years Mr. Victor McDaniel; two daughters, Jessica Shirley, and Christy Nicole; her mother; Glenda Faye Gemnell; two brothers David “Jeff” Dollar and Jason Dollar; one sister, Thearse Dollar; four beautiful grandchildren; Brooklyn Allen, Camryn Allen, Aiden Morrow, and Kayleigh Lawson; one niece; Cynthia Dollar and a host of cousins, family, and friends.
