Funeral Service for Ms. Amy Peck, 81, of Decatur, Alabama will be 11:00AM Saturday at Waymon Chapel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Vickie Mayberry officiating. Inhumation will follow in Decatur City Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Friday from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Ms. Amy Arnell Peck was born November 15, 1942, in Decatur, Alabama to the late Mr. John Henry Peck and Ms. Callie Mary Eldridge. She departed this life on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care.
Amy grew up in Decatur and graduated from Lakeside High School in 1960. Amy accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized at an early age at Wayman Chapel A.M.E Church where she was a faithful member her entire life.
Many years she worked keeping house for the Davis and McWhorter Families. She also cleaned offices at Decatur City Hall where she befriended many city leaders and Police officers.
Her hobbies and interests included spending time with family, friends, and cooking authentic soul food. Her door was always open to anyone, especially on Sunday where family and friends often gathered to eat or just watch sports and fellowship. Amy was a kind individual with a generous spirit and a heart of gold, never hesitating to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Her family and friends will forever miss her. The legacy of her love remains in the hearts of her devoted Children, Kim (Felix) Peck, Stacey (Shanda) Peck, brother John Thomas Peck, Grandchildren; Jared Peck, Felix Hampton III, Taurean Peck, Tyian Peck, and Zion Peck a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Amy was preceded in death by her Parents and brother Charles Albert Peck.
