It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing on November 1, 2020 God called home our beloved Anglea “Gail” Harris. She was born February 15, 1959 in Decatur, Alabama. She walked in faith and accepted Christ at a young age at Bell Primitive Baptist Church. She was joined in Matrimony with Elijah Harris Jr. in 1979 and that union produced three children. She touched every heart, young and mature, with her infectious kindness and upbeat attitude. Gail was no stranger to hard work, employed at Wolverine Tube for over twenty years and almost fifteen years at Dutch Quality.
She was preceded in death by her mother Myrtle Nelson, father Willie Charles Nelson, and brother Prince Scruggs.
Her memory will live on through sons, Timothy Harris, Courtney Harris, and daughter April Harris. Sisters, Joyce Johnson (Chauncey), Lisa Scruggs, Linda Sanders and brothers Charles “Riley” Nelson and George Wheeler. Her aunts, Minnie Lee Wheeler, Maggie Moore, and Rebel Elliott. Her nieces, Tasha Martin (James), Tanitia Sanders, Rochelle Phenore, Tierra Nelson, and Breanna Scruggs. Nephews Rashad Bolden, Cornelius Bolden, Tyler Bolden, Juniorus Scruggs, Darius Nelson, Jalen Martin, Christopher Sanders and Cassiaus Wheeler.
She was blessed with a plethora of extended family, abundant amount of friends and amazing coworkers from Wolverine Tube and Dutch Quality. Gail’s thoughtfulness touched anyone in her orbit with nothing but love. We will miss her laugh, her wittiness, her food and most of all her Love. Her spirit and good-natured acts will forever be the standard for generations to come.
