Graveside Service for Ms. Annie Pearl Boykin, 70 of Decatur, Alabama will be noon Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Sterrs Cemetery with the Reverend Mary Marshall officiating. Public viewing will be Tuesday from 1:00 pm till 5:00 pm and the family will receive friends from 5:00 pm till 6:00 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Annie Pearl Phornore-Boykin was one of ten children born in Morgan County, Alabama on April 23, 1951 to the late Katie Mae Phornore and Bennie Phornore. Annie departed this life Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Decatur Morgan Hospital
Annie accepted Christ at an early age.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Patricia Mitchell, Ella Almond, John Phornore, Roosevelt Phornore, Jeek Phornore and Bubba Phornore.
She leaves to cherish her memory: four daughters, Sandra (Patrick) Brinkley, Cynthia (Billy) Hines, Katina Rice-Boykin, and Nikia (Michael )Peterson; four sons, Sam (Kimberly) Boykin, Frederick Boykin, Kerry Boykin, and Will (Candiace) Pendleton; two special nephews that she provided love and support; Frankie Mitchell, Victor Mitchell and one special niece, Alexis Almond; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Willa Dean Garth and Sarah Thompson; one brother, Melvin Phornore and a host of other nieces and nephews and friends.
Annie was known for her passion of cooking. She was a loving mother, grandmother aunt, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
