A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Annie Corrine Sharpley, 93 of Decatur, Alabama will be 11:00 am Saturday at Reynolds Funeral Home with the Reverend Vicki Mayberry officiating.
Annie Chlorine Sharpley was born December 14, 1926 to Ruby Sharpley and Lorene Warren Sharpley Orr in Danville, Alabama. On January 20, 2020 at 10:40 a.m. God dispatched an angel to call her from labor to reward with her special granddaughter, Martia and her son, Larry by her side.
She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age and united with Providence M.B. Church in Danville, Alabama. She later moved to Decatur, Alabama and united with Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church where she remained a faithful member until her health declined.
She was the “go to” person whenever there was a family gathering. She was an excellent cook. “Ms. Chlorine” as she was affectionately called by family and friends loved people and her church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James Sharpley; and one sister, Olivia Sharpley Jennings.
Ms. Chlorine leaves to cherish her precious memory; a son, Larry (Beverly) Sharpley of Danville; two grandchildren, James Claude (Melissa) Williams of Minnesota and Angela (Ray) Freeman of Madison, Alabama; a very special great-granddaughter whom she raised, Martia (Mikal) Patton of Decatur; a host of grands, great-grands, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
