Anthony Bright Obituary

A Celebration of Life for Mr. Anthony Lewis Bright, 46 of Decatur, Alabama will be at 1:00pm Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Reynolds Funeral Home with the Reverend John Mason officiating.  The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral.  Public viewing will be Wednesday from 11-6 at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Anthony was born December 8, 1972 in Lawrence County, Alabama to Johnnie Mae Roper and the late Joe Lewis Bright.  He passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 in Clayton, AL.

He was a hard worker, had a great sense of humor and a tremendous love for his family.  At all the family gatherings he was the center of attraction and kept the family laughing and together.  He will be truly missed by all that knew him.

He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Revival House of Prayer while under the leadership of his uncle, the Reverend Billy Joe Mason.

He was educated in the Lawrence County School System and attended Lawrence County High School.

He was preceded in death by:  father, Mr. Joe Lewis Bright; sister, Sandra Bright; maternal grandparents Mr. John Mason and Mrs. Tillie Mason; paternal grandparents Mr. Johnny Bright and Mrs. Ula Drake.

Anthony leaves to cherish his memory: five children, Ashley Nance of Decatur, Malik Bright, Da’Keisha Bright, Jayla Bright and Anthony L. Bright Jr. all of Huntsville; mother, Johnnie Mae Roper of Decatur, AL; grandchildren, Ka’Viyah Crutcher, Malliyah Bright, Kinzley Moore, and Jadaiyah Steger; siblings, Angela Bright, Lillian Cockrell, Veronica Pendleton (Rhynia) all of Huntsville, Shelia Lee of Atlanta, GA, Philnetria Fountain (Ken) of Pensacola, FL, Reginald Timmons, Alex Roper both of Huntsville and Tommy Roper (Jamie) of Louisville, KY; two aunts: Linda Smith Spence of Atlanta, GA; Alberta (Thaddeus) Nance of Huntsville, AL; six  uncles: Billy Joe Mason (Barbara)of Decatur, AL; the Rev. John Mason Jr. of Falkville, AL; Leroy Mason (Lisa) of Moulton, AL; Curtis Bright and David Bright of Huntsville and Lacey Bright of Sacramento, CA; a host of nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
